Meet the Committee
The Panel operates as a special committee of the Council under Section 86 of the Local Government Act 1989, with delegated powers and functions. This allows the Panel to act with a degree if independence from the Council but at the same time ensures that reporting and other responsibilities (such as auditing and keeping of records) which apply to the Council also extended to the Committee.
The Council appoints up to eight members of the Shepparton business community bi-annually to the Show Me Committee.
The current committee were appointed by resolution of the Greater Shepparton City Council on Monday 13 July 2009.
The Council is represented on the committee by Cr Cherie Crawford, Cr Milvan Muto and Chief Executive Officer, Phil Pearce.
The Shepparton Show Me Committee currently meets once every third Wednesday morning of the month from 8.00am to 10.00am.
